      Hi Shane,

I am very new at this and don’t really know my way around. My web site is up, but no traffic yet because I don’t know how to do links or put them where they belong. That is why I am writing you. I found this video very helpful and the download for articles sumitters probably my saving grace. I’ll let you know when I get my first one finished and out here.
Your instruction was very clear and concise. Thanks

It worked perfectly. Wonderful instructions. I’ve been searching for an article submitter and a free one can’t be beat. Found you on the warrior forum. Great stuff, thanks so much! On to the next video

    Hi Shane,

This is awesome and very valuable resource, as usual, coming from you.

It saves me $ 97, at the present time. Instead of buying another sterile software, can I buy you a beer sometime ?

However, I have a little concern. I did not manage to install your script – link 2 – on it.

I am always frustrated with these techie parts… so if you can help that would be great.

Thanks again + have a great day,

    • Shane

      August 2nd, 2010 at 10:48 am

      Hi Matina,

Did the download of the “Link 2″ file work?
If you can’t over-write the file. Try going to the Article Submission Helper folder and deleting the “directories.xml” file first, then copying the new file in.

If you get some kind of an error message, let me know what it says and I’ll see if I can figure something out.

    Your link works.

I think I did not download it correctly, as I do not have access to the xml files …

Will try it tonight and revert to you.

    Thanks for your help !

    Hi Shane

I think what you are offering here is great, Article submission can be so fragmented that by doing it this way has to be a major time saver and a great way of generating back links

I am already looking forward to your next installment

    Thanks for sharing Tony

Thanks for the info. Very easy to set up – have been using AS Helper for a while now and you’re info is correct as many articles do not go through or laods of Hack sites pop up. This will make life a whole lot easier. Thanks again for this FREE stuff.

I also have article submitters and everything you stated in the video makes sense. I agree with only submitting to the higher more quality sites to improve the backlinks we are trying to build.

Looking forward to the next video!

    i think its very interesting

  17. August 2nd, 2010 at 3:21 pm

Yeah, I’ve had already noticed that most of the article directories you can submit your article to are not worth the while.
Excellent work choosing the relevant directories.

  20. August 2nd, 2010 at 4:08 pm

Thanks for the email. It is a complete surprise but a pleasant one. I like the ASHelper but the first time I used it, I found messages popping up on a number of sites or directories saying these were hacked and appeared infected. I ran a scan and confirmed it. I tried to delete these directories from the list but each time when I open the ASHelper program, all the deleted infected hacked files were back again. These gave me the jitters as I think my computer hanged a few times was due to the hard-to-avoid infected files.

Nevertheless, I hope your downloads and advice may help avoid infected files. I will look forward to trying it out again.

    • Shane

      August 2nd, 2010 at 4:14 pm

Yeah, don’t worry about it. The 19 directories in the list are all ones I submit to myself on a regular basis. Since they also have some Page Rank and have reasonable quality, it’s also unlikely that they’ll just disappear all of a sudden.

  21. August 2nd, 2010 at 4:16 pm

Thank you so much for this. I had downloaded this software a few days back and was completely lost in the maze of all those directories, the hacked ones, the confirmation e-mails. I almost gave up on it. With your xml file now, I see the light. I really appreciate it.

  22. August 2nd, 2010 at 4:20 pm

There is another limitation that is exasperating : The bottom half of the screen dedicated to the directry site is inadequate for the “category” identification in relation to the article that is. For xample if I ave an article dealing with travl or outdoor recreation, I am unable to check these category as he space limitation does not allow scrolling down to the alphabets for “t” or “o” … Anyway to overcome this?

    • Shane

      August 2nd, 2010 at 4:30 pm

I’m not quite sure if I got this right. Seems to me that the problem can be solved by resizing the ASH window (make it smaller) and moving it up towards the top of the desktop. That way, the categories meny will extend down beyond the border of the ASH window, like seen on this image.

  23. August 2nd, 2010 at 4:44 pm

Tried that but couldn’t. Right now, I just realised my pc – which is 6 years old – is obsolete despite some upgrades and updates. Needs more RAM memory or something like that or fster internet seed or broadband. I am getting a new one. I have no idea how obsolete I or my pc have becomed compared to other people;s, new products out in the market and interet service in other countries when compared. Thanks for the reply. If you do not have that problem, obviously it is a technical limitation on mine. Thanks for the feedback. OK, no more comments and I hope to get moving on ASHelper again soon!. Good wishes.

    • Shane

      August 2nd, 2010 at 4:54 pm

6 years?! Wow, that’s old for a PC… So, does it run on coal? :D

I can imagine that that might cause an issue.

Anyway, thanks for coming by and leaving a comment. I hope you can get the method to work for you anyway.

  24. August 2nd, 2010 at 6:00 pm

    Hi Shane

I can’t get the video to work. Is there another link to it somewhere? It keeps coming back to the homepage

    Cheers

      August 2nd, 2010 at 6:27 pm

      That’s strange…
I’ll see if I can find the issue and fix it somehow.

Can you clarify what you mean by “It keeps coming back to the homepage”?

  25. August 2nd, 2010 at 6:27 pm

    Hi Shane,
Thanks for the video, it is a good quality stuff. I am waiting to see the next video.
Hope this backlinking method will be the one I do not know yet. :o )

  26. August 2nd, 2010 at 6:37 pm

    Hi Shane,

Just got done watching your video, Great job with it. I have tried article submissions like you showed and you are right it was a big waste of time that’s why I just went back to just manually submitting to just ezinearticles, goarticles, and articlebase because they are the three top article directories. I had no idea about the tip you showed about changing the directories like that. I guess you twisted my arm to try this technique one more time.

I have just launched my new website http://rags-2-riches.net and I think I will try this out on that. I will keep you posted on the results I get. Also I can’t wait to see your next little tip that you have. If this tips works as good as your claiming I definitely will be trying your next one.

    Thanks,

    Thomas Mills

    P.S.

I also have a Great Idea using my program and GDI, or any other program if your interested in becoming partners. I could use some one like you on my network team.

  27. August 2nd, 2010 at 10:27 pm

    Hi Shane,

I’ve been compiling an article networks list with directories recommended by very experienced and successful internet marketers (like S. Clayton, Adam Short, Matt Carter and others…). If I may make a suggestion, I think it would be even greater if you could include these directories to your ASHelper:
(I’m only listing the ones that are not in ASH already)

    webpronews.com
    isnare.com
    webarticles.com
    e-topic.com
    ideamarketers.com
    articlefeeder.com
    more4you.ws
    searcharticles.net
    morganarticlearchive.com
    searchwarp
    exdesignz
    articlebiz
    zinos.com
    dropjack.com
    suite101.com
    buzzle.com
    helium.com

In my opinion, with these directories included, ASHelper would probably be the most comprehensive high-quality article directories submission program online!

Well, I hope that this can help you to improve your already very good software.

    Thank you and Greetings
    Jordi

    • Shane

      August 2nd, 2010 at 10:31 pm

      Hi Jordi,

Thank you very much for your suggestions!

Much like Ezinearticles, many of the directories in that list are pretty much impossible to auto-submit to, unfortunately. But I’ll have a close look at all those directories and see if any can be integrated. Hopefully, I can add a few valuable ones to ASH.

      • August 3rd, 2010 at 8:23 am

        Hello Shane,

Oh, I see! Well, in any case the program is great.

And what about adding a little thesaurus, so that when you, for instance, double click a word, a little window pops up with, say, four or five synonyms, then you select two of them, click OK and automatically appear on the text with brackets and so…? It would be very useful for those (like me) who doesn’t speak English very well!

        Thank you again!

        Jordi

      • Shane

        August 3rd, 2010 at 8:36 am

Let me clarify that I’m not the creator of Article Submission Helper. I’m just recommending it (because it’s awesome) and providing the customization file.

For articles spinning, there’s a complete solution inside the full Backlink Battleplan program. It would go far beyond the scope of this free video, if I tried to go into detail about this topic as well, though.

  28. August 2nd, 2010 at 11:05 pm

Hey thanks for the program and Jordi thanks for the extra directories it all helps. I have a blog network that I have been working on, that I place articles on as well, but it’s been tough to get traffic, would you suggest that I place any random article on these directories and then get it to forward to my blog so that people can also go there? On my blog is where I have a few sales and my google, and whatever else I happen to have on there along with tons of quality articles?
Thanks Guys for the Added Help
    Cheers, Svein Sjoen

    • Shane

      August 2nd, 2010 at 11:16 pm

My recommendation is that you focus your efforts with all your articles and submissions etc.

In other words, have one site, based around one (very) specific topic and do submissions and link-building to that site. Also make sure that all of the pages on that one site lead to your “main page” which is the one where you promote some affiliate product or have some other kind of monetization.

That’s a model that works very well for many people, at least. In general, the tighter your focus, the sooner you’ll see good results.

  29. August 2nd, 2010 at 11:25 pm

I have been looking for a article submitter and spinner for a while now. Thank you so much for sharing this information. The video was well done.

  30. August 3rd, 2010 at 1:18 am

Great video. I love the free stuff.

I am on a Mac and AS works on a Mac but I have not determined where the directories.xml files is stored. I emailed the AS website and they do not know either.

Any Mac users out there who have figured it out please send info.

Very useful stuff. Thanks a lot Shane.

    • Shane

      August 3rd, 2010 at 7:29 am

      Hi Becky,

Not a Mac user, so I have no clue. But don’t you get to pick where the program installs?

And can you do a search for “ASHelper” and see what comes up? That might help.

      Cheers,
      Shane

  31. August 3rd, 2010 at 1:18 am

    Dear Shane,
I prefer to hand submit (manual) to this 19 article directories, instead of installing the free article submission helper because it needs high system requirement. Spinning is not a problem l think, because free spinning is available at jet spinner. Thank you for the sincere help.

What an awesome tool! Thanks Shane for sharing this…. it is exactly what I was looking for….. a submitter that would also spin an article with my input.

    Thanks again!!!!!!!!

    HI Shane

Firstly thank you very much for this information.
I have been trawling the net over the last few weeks to tray and find a submission system that really works, but to no avail. I have had all the problems you mention and got very frustrated. We produce four new articles of news every day at just 4 the planet about environmental issues and need to get the backlinks to drive traffic. This is going to save me a lot of tiime and effort.

    Cheers

You put out the best stuff!!!

I enjoyed your keyword research program and was thrilled to find this one for back links.

I totally expect this information to be as top notch and down to earth ( nothing tricky and nothing missing!) as the previous one. You not only deliver the goods but you do it professionally.

OH!…and it doesn’t hurt that you give this stuff away for free, which REALLY helps those of us operating on less than large capital expenditure outlays!

Thank you for your willingness to teach us helpful strategies that will assist us in our online endeavors!

Thanks for this great tool. Does it work on a Mac or just a PC?

    • Shane

      August 3rd, 2010 at 5:24 pm

      Hi Jeff,

It runs on Adobe Air, which makes it compatible with both PC and Mac.

  41. Jeff

    August 3rd, 2010 at 6:17 pm

    Hi Shane,

    I don’t know what I’m doing wrong.

I’ve downloaded as instructed. In the download folder ashelper 1 4 1 are three items: directories.xml and ASHelper.air and Article Submission Helper.url.

When I follow step 4 below I can’t drop directories.xml into ASHelper.air. I must be doing fundamentally wrong. I still have all of the 113 or so sites listed not the 19 or so that we’re trying to set up. Any ideas?

STEP 4: Simply drag and drop the downloaded “directories.xml” file into the “ASHelper” folder.
You will see a prompt, asking you whether the file should be over-written. Confirm this promt.

    Thanks,

    Jeff

    • Shane

      August 3rd, 2010 at 6:47 pm

I think the documentation just wasn’t clear enough about this step.

I’ve updated the PDF to make it clearer and hopefully avoid this issue.

Basically, the “ASHelper.air” is the installation file. Double-click that to install Article Submission helper. Once that’s done, you need to find the “ASHelper” folder (without the .air at the end) and that’s where you should find the correct files and that’s where to replace the directories.xml file.

      Hope this helps.

      August 4th, 2010 at 12:37 pm

Did you get the newest version of the document? (Updated it yesterday)

Once the software is installed, you should be able to find the installation folder by doing a search (on your desktop) for “ASHelper.exe”.

If you didn’t specify an installation path, it should be on drive C:\ somewhere. But where exactly depends on whether you’re using a Mac or a PC.

      • ray

        August 4th, 2010 at 12:42 pm

thanks for the timely reply. i am using a desktop pc. i searched and could not find anything

      • Shane

        August 4th, 2010 at 1:02 pm

On a PC, it should be in C:\Program Files, somewhere.

Just open your “My Computer” window and type “ASHelper.exe” in the search box in that window. If that doesn’t return a result, reinstall the program.

Alternatively, double-click the ASHelper.air installation file. If you’ve already installed the software, there’s going to be an option that says “Run Now” that you can use to start the program.

    Hi Shane
I left a comment the other day thanking you for your help but I have hit a problem. When I try to load you shortened list file to auto sub helper it will not work. it puts it in as “link 2″ and not a directiries file. I have tried copy and pasting from your file to the program file but it will not read it.
    Any ideas

    Cheers

    Paul

      Hi Paul,

      Thanks for your comments!
Um… not sure what the problem is, you’re experiencing. So, if you click on the link, does it start a download or not?
And in case you see a raw code text instead of a download, try this: Copy that entire text and save it into a notepad file. Then save that note and name it “directories.xml” and copy that into the ASHelper folder.

But in general, if you right-click and select “Save Link as…” or “Save Target as…”, the file should download and then you can copy that into the ASHelper folder, overwriting the original. If you got the right file and the right folder, that should definitely work.

WOW. Fantastic stuff, Shane. Thank you doesn’t begin to describe my gratitude!

    • August 5th, 2010 at 7:30 am

One problem, Shane: none of the files that appear in your list in the video show up on my Mac. I’ve searched for them one by one to no avail even tho the ap runs fine after I install it. Since I cannot locate the directories.xml file I obviously have no way of replacing it with your custom file so that I can narrow down the list of directories to submit to. I know you don’t use a Mac but do you have access to one so you can see what the problem is? Has anyone else who is working on a Mac been able to figure out why this is happening? I saw that someone else who commented had this same problem. Thanks!

        August 5th, 2010 at 7:37 am

I’ll try to figure something out. Don’t have access to a Mac, unfortunately, but I’ll ask around.

    Hi Shane
I have been looking at ways of getting backlinks recently article marketing recently and this looks the best I have seen so far. Unfortunately I have the same problem as Madison Homes above. I am running Vista but can’t see any of the files that appear in your video. I have downloaded, uninstalled and reinstalled three times, and run a search for the files, but they are not showing up anywhere. I use Winzip. I would greatly appreciate your help as this is a really excellent program, but I would like to be able to use the directories you have listed.
    Thanks again

Note: I’ve set up an instructions video for anyone who’s having trouble with the installation and customization of ASH. You can see it here.

  59. August 5th, 2010 at 5:19 pm

    Hi Shane,

I was impressed with the info you gave in video 1. I didn’t realise just how much time was being wasted sending articles to hundreds of directories.

Looking forward to watching the other videos and downloading your freebies.

Many thanks for your excellent service.

    Hi Shane

I am so grateful for your generous sharing of this and other tools.
I have found all of this type of traffic generation so confusing and difficult to get my brain around!
Thank you for making something complicated appear simple.

    Hi Shane

I have followed your instructions carefully as well as read the pdf and I am unable to get the custom directories xml file to drop into the ASHelper file!

I have tried this prior to having the ASHelper open as well as afterwards too.

I have the ASHelper up and mobile but am unable to get the update of data to happen.

    Any ideas would be appreciated.

      August 6th, 2010 at 1:16 pm

      Hi Bev,

      Is that Windows or Mac?
In case you haven’t done so yet, please take a look at this instructions video (more detailed than the PDF) and also look at the super-helpful comment by “Rus” in the comments below the video (if you’re a Mac user).

  63. August 7th, 2010 at 12:30 pm

Thanks Shane – could i just add here though that I was held up for about half an hour because i couldn’t follow your instructions ref dropping the directories file into the Helper……
Of course, when I installed it the PC automatically put it in C:\Program Files\ASHelper and so it was hidden from me and not there in the folder you described.

So, for anyone else having a problem I’m sure this will prove the main hurdle – a simple one to clear once you have C:\ProgramFles\ASHelper in the left column of your File Manager or Windows Explorer……. I just did that and then restarted the Submission prgram and it has 20 Directories in it (guess you must have added one).

Thank you, I haven’t even seen Video 2 yet but I’m all revved up to write and submit!!
I have a few other Article Submitters but have been put off even using them again because of the sort of problems you cover……….. thank you!!!!

      Hi John,

Thanks for your input! I’m really noticing that I need to be more detailed when it comes to technical instructions like this.

  64. August 7th, 2010 at 1:19 pm

Thanks Shane, that extra installation Video covered how to install the program in the sma efolder so that would render my point unnecessary – but in case anyone just rushes through it as per any normal quick click installation – it would help to use my tip.
I like your thoroughness – Well Done Indeed!

The thing that I like about Article Submission Helper is that it works on the Mac. :D It’s hard to find IM software for the Mac for some of my clients, so this is a great find. :)

If you do find any RSS automation and blog commenting tools for Mac users, do let me know…

Right now that’s the main only thing I can’t seem to find…

    Hi Shane

Fantastic video, very professional & very well done! I’m going to do an article and link to this video from my blog if that’s ok?

I’ve had enormous success with my articles just with EzineArticles and GoArticles.

Thank you so much for this, Shane!

I’ve been neglecting article submission because it is such a pain, but this should greatly streamline the process. I’ve avoided article submitters for the very reasons you outlined, high failure rates, articles going off to worthless directories, etc.

BTW, love your accent! It sounds very exotic to a Canadian, eh?

Thanks so much, Shane! Your ‘gift’ is so timely. I am now at the point of traffic building for my website.

“Article Submission Helper” is just what I need. I am so glad I have it now instead of wasting my time submitting to useless directories. I was not aware that there are so few worthwhile or working directories out of 500!

Must be one of the few people who is willing to tell the truth of what it takes to get real traffic from the work you do.

This is the essence of knowing that only 20% of the work that you do will produce profits , soo why not concentrate on the 20% up ramp it up.

    Many thanks

I spent hours setting all this up but when I sent a test to Posterous the link was very strange, nothing like it should have been. any help would be appreciated.

    • Shane

      August 11th, 2010 at 1:07 pm

Did you make sure to send in plain text format? That’s the most likely cause.

If it doesn’t work, here’s another option:
Send the e-mail in rich text, with the link inserted directly (not in html), but only send to posterous, not vox (on vox, the link will come out wrong this way). That will still give almost all the backlinks.

      • Kev

        August 11th, 2010 at 2:06 pm

    Hello Mr. Shane,

Excited to see you explaining about the program. Still complication is there in spinning the article.

and one more thing i want to ask you is if we paid the subscription (if it is monthly or else) you will take all work to be done in our favor right to build massive back link of our niche, for how many website you charge this subscription.

    Looking to hear from you.

      August 20th, 2010 at 6:15 pm

      Hi,
Backlink Battleplan teaches you how you can build backlinks effectively, but it is not a service. It’s a one-time cost.

  86. August 20th, 2010 at 5:34 pm

I can not believe this is free, you stated in the beginning of the video it was free and concluded by again stating there was no cost, all of us who are in internet marketing have seen ads, received hundreds of e-mails, and the likes where the conversation starts out free and by the time you reach the bottom there’s always a fee.

This information is incredible and it’s free wow, and your discription of the process looks to be very simple, Thanks so much

    Wowza…

    What a great product Shane.

I’m serious and your business model has got me drooling.

    Kinda weird question..

What do you use for your graphics? particuilar your ebook covers etc..

And software for making your videos?

    Any help is appreciated

    Thank you

    • Shane

      September 2nd, 2010 at 6:12 am

      Hi,

I make the graphics myself. I use Photoshop, mostly.
For the videos, they are just screencasts of powerpoint presentations.

  91. August 31st, 2010 at 1:11 am

Wow! This backlink stuff you are sharing here is most valuable than other paid products out there. A question: Can I add article directories in Spanish to the software? Thanks :)

    • Shane

      August 31st, 2010 at 7:17 pm

You can manually add article directories. Since I am very un-techie, I don’t know how to do that, though…

I like this idea and I’m going to try it now. I actually got a link to your video from the submission tool which I never use as its success rate is abysmal for all of the sites listed in it.

I actually recently purchased magic article submitter which actually no longer works the way the sales page showed that it would.

I actually have four article submission tools that I never use. So I am going to give this a try.

Have you seen that Andy Black is coming out with a new product which he says is an article writer, not a rewriter. If you could do a review of that, that would be cool. From what I have seen on your website, you are trustworthy. You are not just trying to sell something. I plan on implementing the next video as well and if I ever make a cell with my website, I will buy back the battle plan.

Don’t know about the Andy Black software thingy. Will have a look at it.

  93. September 2nd, 2010 at 7:05 pm

    Hello,

Finally someone who seems not only to speak from authority but with some integrity as well.

I am relatively new to this internet marketing business and have looked at a lot of products.

Most of the article submission software programs that I have tried probably should never have been written, much less published.

I am looking forward to giving this promising product a try and have also bookmarked your site.

Shane, I tried another article submitter but it was so cumbersome that I lost interest in it.
Your system seems easy and very practical. I also admit that I am not techie so anything that requires me to work technical will scare me away.

I am downloading your submitter as we speak and I’ll use it and all your great advice to get back links.

    Thanks

Thanks so much for this. It’s awesome you take the time to review and make useful free software, it is very appreciated =) I knew that submitting to loads of directories didn’t work anymore, but wasn’t aware submitting to the better ones could be so much easier, and how useful and time-saving a tool like this can be.

  96. September 15th, 2010 at 8:01 am

    Hi Shane,

thanks for the great tool. I’ve been meaning to submit to more directories, but it just was so cumbersome — or expensive.

    A question though…

Can I use this to submit for several different client accounts as well?

That would make this toold REALLY useful.

    Thanks.

    Seriously 100 out of 500?
I use article marketing robot and it has 1314 in total – over 100 are PR3 or higher and 160 or thereabouts are PR2 or higher

I Pick the PR6 and 5 and treat them as the second row of a link ring, and backlink them with articles from the 4,3 and 2
Over 1200 created accounts successfully, and I get between 780 and 910 published.

It’s easy to check the status of the articles – you can sort and send submission by a number of criteria (PR)
I agree with the article submission to Ezine first, and being cheap is very good (well done for that)

THanks for the free tool though. THis site is a great resource

    • Shane

      September 20th, 2010 at 6:17 am

      Hi Dave,

Actually, Article Marketing Robot might be an exception. I’m testing that one right now. ;)
Still, most of the directories in there aren’t worth the captcha credits to sign up for, but as you say, it still has a sizeable list of directories where you might actually get a semi-valuable link. And the strategy you outline is probably the best way to make use of AMR.

I’ll be publishing a review on my blog once I’ve run AMR through it’s paces. Still not sure if it’s worthwhile, but it’s the most promising solution I’ve seen in a long time.

Then again, Article Submission Helper is free and it’s damn good at what it doesn.

  99. September 23rd, 2010 at 1:12 pm

    Hi Shane

Not heard about you before today when I read about you on Dr Andy’s EZSEO news site.
From the comments below his post, the write up you got and the information I’ve just seen you give on this site I’m now a fan of yours.

I’m out of budget at the moment but I certainly intend to buy your Backlinks Battleplan asap.

Meanwhile I’m off to subscribe to your newsletter.

This almost sounds like a sales pitch I’ve been paid to make but I can assure everyone it’s not.
I just like everything I’ve seen, including the ‘Dont buy this’ section which has endorsed my feelings about the products listed. Not all bad products, just some bad prices.

    Shane,

You are making a lot of sense!

Thank you for the free submitter and the list of valuable directories, I really appreciate it!

I had spend a lot of time thinking about these issues and in fact also trying out a few spinners before. Basically I found the whole process to be very irritating and almost as cumbersome as writing a few more articles from scratch.

Now, having seen the video I realize I would have been wasting my time by submitting to these hundreds of directories, entering catchpas and so on.

I will take a closer look at these directories to find out what kind of traffic they are getting. I am very curious to know.

    Best wishes

I passed you site onto a couple of friends to look at.

  109. October 17th, 2010 at 1:37 am

Shane: I bought Backlink Battleplan, and I have found it to be a very educational product. There are a few tools that I have had a bit of trouble with, but that’s par for the course with free tools. The blog comment submitter (Comment Kahuna) seems to have a lot of trouble with Windows 7, and there have been a few other surprises (for instance, Vox.com is now defunct). Internet marketing is a moving target.

Regardless of the minor problems, I have learned a lot, and gotten substantial benefit from Backlink Battleplan. Most important, I’ve actually gotten off of square one and started doing something about internet marketing, thanks to your clear instructions on what to do next, and why.

One word of warning you might want to pass along, though: I discovered that snurl.com, which I use to cloak affiliate links, was stripping out my affiliate tag for Backlink Battleplan. So I ended up sending you a lot of traffic for which I got no credit. There appears to be a bug in the snurl.com interface, so DON’T USE IT AFFILIATE LINK CLOAKING! Fortunately, link cloaking is easy to do (if you don’t want to roll your own, you can get a free WordPress add-on called “make a pretty link” that will do it for you).

  110. October 17th, 2010 at 3:26 pm

Super software, thank you SOoo much. This will help me save so much time.

I will be passing this to all of my online friends to enjoy!!

Hi Shane — I’m just starting to study and implement some back link strategies. Your video and free tool are offered at a perfect time for me. Thank you for the extremely professional and helpful video. I’m excited to get this tool up and running.

BTW, I have another free article submitter on my hard drive which I was going to start using – yours is much simpler and cleaner than anything else I’ve seen (particularly at this price LOL).

Thanks a lot for the help. I’m looking forward to your next video. – David

What a fantastic tool the article submission tool is, I spent hours on it last night, its great and its free.
I was about to buy the article submit auto software which uses the same principal as you point out. It has Only 30 suggested article directories with high pr and apparently will move your site up the rankings faster than the directories that submit to thousands of submissions, but yours is free.
this is something that truly confuses me though because everyone tells you that many links are good because they are effectively votes for your site yet only submitting to 20 high pr directories is more effective in googles eyes. So if this is true then many links are truly not votes for your site and are really a waste of time and money.
the only issue I have with this great software is I wish it had an auto function as I have ten articles to send to each of the twenty on your list, this will take me days to do manually, only sore point otherwise I,m loving it.
    cheers

    Hello Shane,

I just watched your first video and have downloaded the article submission, also placed your 19 selected directories in it.

Sorry mate I don`t see where I am saving any time here. I am new to all thisand I dont see anything that will save me time.

Whta I have done is I have joined a number of article directories, taking their log in page ling off the web set them up in a spreedsheett then click on one at a time and login in just like this article submission dose. I have spinning software and take a article one at a time to load into each directory, just like this software

To put new directories into this software (for me) is proving hard. I have got the online manual and as I use firfox I need firebug as the manual says to look at the html, to load the info in the form. Now that is really a time waster, if it worked I have tried to do this but when you press add the new directory is no where in sight?

As for spinning – will thats going to cost £29 plus vat (contentboss software) as I am in the UK = £34 to $35 a month and you are saying this software is free?

So what am I missing? I have been on this all day and got no were with it. I have already joined a number of directories (the hard way).

I see you have all glowing feed backs so I must be real dumb not to able to use this and see its advantages

I have not yet tried your 2.0 idea I look at it in the morning.

    Any ideas

    Best regards, Tom

Well, for one thing you can have the software run on full-auto. It won’t work for all directories, but certainly, submitting on full-auto saves time?
And even the semi-automatic submission is way faster than navigating to each website in the browser and going through all the steps, no?

Spinning doesn’t cost anything if you do it yourself, so I’m not sure where the $35/month number is coming from.

I’m not sure if I’m addressing your issues, even. Almost seems like we’re talking about two entirely different things…
